Warming spring sun marks the start of this season as golf courses, tramping trails and gardens defrost and wonderful blooms appear. In spring, skiing is often at its best, beaches fill with relaxing sun-seekers and dining al fresco is the order of the day. Pleasant daytime temperatures range from 8-22°C (48–75°F). Onsen Hot Pools Congratulations to Onsen Hot Pools on their recent opening. This tranquil new facility with six private bathing rooms and outdoor sun terrace, is nestled on a cliff side at Arthur’s Point. The spectacular setting, high above the Shotover River, ensures awe-inspiring views from every pool. A new service from Limousine Services Queenstown provides private transfers to and from Onsen Hot Pools. Use the Queenstown to Nugget Point/Arthur’s Point rate to cost this private transfer. ![]() Milford Sound, full day tour An equally popular choice with international visitors, a Milford Sound tour is undisputedly one of the top scenic drives in the world. Our driver guides take clients to Milford Sound in the comfort of their own private transport, for a cost comparative to the common coach-cruise-coach option, but with infinitely more flexibility. ![]() Here’s an indication of our Milford Sound day trip timings, based on a 13:00 Red Boats cruise. 07:30 Depart Queenstown for 13:00 cruise (08.00 for a 13:30 cruise) We’ve recently updated our Milford Sound website – check it out. We’ve developed a handy new brochure to help you respond to enquiries about our local sightseeing options. Feel free to forward this directly to your clients for their consideration, or 'copy and paste' information from this PDF directly into itineraries. Hard copies are available on request, or view / download the brochure online. Pricing for these services is as per our rates manual and is based on transport only (cruises, meals, tasting and entry fees are additional).
![]() Blake first got behind the wheel earlier than most, when he drove his driving-averse mother from Invercargill to Queenstown. A retired Southland farmer, he’s been coming to the Queenstown area since 1948. Blake has been a local landowner since 1972 and a permanent resident for the past 6½ years. Blake fondly remembers his honeymoon excursion, as his ‘best motoring adventure’. He and Margaret drove the full length of NZ, towing a caravan, taking four weeks to drive from Invercargill to Russell and back! The West Coast region has more recently become Blake’s favourite place to take LSQ clients. The spectacular waterfalls, swift flowing water through boulder strewn rivers, beautiful rainforest and views from the Gates of Haast, are very memorable and special. ‘The changing West Coast weather adds to the whole experience’, says Blake. ![]() When not touring throughout the South Island, in his S class Mercedes sedan, Blake manages to find time to cruise the beautiful Southern Lakes region in his fully restored 1955 Ford Zephyr Mark 1. Blake is feeling refreshed and rejuvenated for the coming summer season, after nearly two months rest and relaxation on Australia’s Sunshine Coast. LTSA – from 1 October 2007 Unsolicited Electronic messages Act (2007) – September 2007 We look forward to continuing to be of service to you and thanks again for your ongoing support.
