Happy New Year to all our friends, we hope that you've had an enjoyable festive season and managed some time relaxing with family and friends.

We have been busy with our northern hemisphere guests joining us for the NZ summer, and indulging in the many activities available in Queenstown. Our newest activity Ziptrek Ecotours is getting rave reviews for offering an entertaining combination of education and adventure and a very different way to view Queenstown, so be sure to ask our team more about this.

Eichardt’s has joined the facebook phenomenon, so if facebook has become a part of your life, please join us to keep updated with Eichardt's goings on.

Tapas Summer Hours

With longer evenings and requests from our regulars, we are extending our tapas service for the summer starting from 4:00pm. Chef Michael has also made changes to the menu to fit the summer season which can be viewed on our website. Tapas are a fabulous summer meal option, and our dessert tapas are a great finale after dinner matched with a dessert wine or Cognac.

Eichardt’s offers a Queenstown Summer Escape

The Queenstown area is host to a wonderful array of summer events, including the Michael Hill NZ Open Golf Tournament. To take advantage of the exceptional activities and experiences on offer in the region, Eichardt’s has created a special Summer Escape package that includes three nights accommodation, breakfast each morning, and an activity voucher of choice.

News From the High Country

Eichardt’s private High Country Station, is bustling with activity this time of year mustering stock from their spring country to higher sunny slopes for summer grazing. Michael's Summer Recipe

With summer finally here Chef Michael would like to share one of his favorite salad recipes with you. This Thai Poached Chicken Coleslaw makes a great weekend lunch dish to share with friends and Nik, Eichardt's Bar Manager, recommends drinking a glass of Misha's Vineyard, The Dress Circle Pinot Gris '09 to round it off.
