June 1st 2010 marks the 5th anniversary of the Marett family purchasing Limousine Services Queenstown from Dale and the late Walter Zimmerman. In this time we’ve certainly had some ups and downs with world events such as SARS, 9/11, swine flu and global financial worries all conspiring to affect our tourism numbers. However, all in all we’re proud of the progress we’ve made in growing the business and have enjoyed every minute of the challenge! 
Conference & Incentive Groups LSQ has been involved in providing services for several C & I groups recently, where large numbers of varying services were required on a daily basis over several days. Having efficient, reliable staff and a versatile fleet enables us to provide these quality transfer options for C & I groups, no matter the size of the group. In the event that numbers are greater than our fleet can manage, we work with Johnston’s Coachlines to provide extra capacity. Corporate Events planning company has nominated LSQ for a ‘People’s Choice Award’. He is a driver/guide, in charge of vehicle maintenance, is the sales calls man and administrator – the list goes on. Generally he's ‘a jack of all trades’. His past experience in the tourism industry ensures he is more than capable of coping with this position! Ross is really enjoying one-on-one contact with clients and is well qualified to ensure they receive a high quality experience. 
Regardless of some recent difficult times due to an overall downturn in tourism numbers, we’ve maintained our fleet replacement policy by purchasing seven new vehicles, replacing five older models. We place huge importance on the make up of our fleet, and will continue to replace vehicles consistently. We take pride in the appearance of the fleet and work hard at ensuring a high level of maintenance and presentation at all times. 
Floods: The recent threat of flooding made for some spectacular viewing for visitors. A number of water activities were affected for a few days, but thankfully a major crisis was averted and town is now back to normal. experiencequeenstown.com Flights will boost ski season: We’re delighted with news that extra flights are planned into Queenstown this winter. Air New Zealand will increase flights between Australia and Queenstown by 20% for the coming ski season. Including Qantas and Pacific Blue flights, this adds up to 22 international services from the East Coast of Australia to Queenstown each week. Now just bring on the snow! 25 June – 4 July: American Express Queenstown Winter Festival The festival is the Southern Hemisphere's ultimate winter party, held in celebration of winter in the mountains. It has been a huge success for more than 30 years and attracts visitors from all over New Zealand, Australia, the USA, Japan and around the globe. It is a true celebration of Queenstown, our community and all the things that make our beautiful mountain home so unique. 4 – 12 September: Gay Ski Week NZ The Southern Hemisphere's biggest gay and lesbian alpine party returns to Queenstown. LSQ is now an Allied Member (Supplier) of ITOC
